While puttering in the kitchen this afternoon, I happened to glance out of the window over the sink to see a mourning dove sitting on the birdbath. We have enjoyed the company of many birds this year, with doves, cardinals, blue jays being prevalent. I was given a digital camera last year, and after the first flush of novelty, I rarely remember to use it. This I want to change. I retrieved the camera and played with various distances and settings. I chose the digital close ups because it gives me a sense of being pushed right up to the screen peering out. I thought it made an interesting visual.
Maybe I can develop a sideline as an avian paparazzi? Though I doubt there’s really a market for that.
