I like it. Interesting perspective…when I first saw it, I immediately assumed it was an image you imagined looking DOWN on…but the figure could just as easily be eye-to-eye…or even looking down on YOU. 🙂
This one’s amazing. One of my favorites this month. It makes me think of someone floating in a pool … peaceful. On the other hand, it can also look haunting. You made such amazing use of the different shades of blue. Great work!

Oh – no explanation needed – let us just go with how it makes us feel. I love it!

I’m enjoying following your every day a new piece of art. I’m astonished at how quickly your techniques have improved and how polished things are looking! I remember at the beginning you thought you couldn’t do this. You sure can! And you’re very good.
For me, good art is something that draws you to immerse yourself. This one definitely draws me, and sends my mind and senses in many directions. It’s stunning.
I like this piece very, very much, Kathryn, but I love blue, and I love mystery. I agree with the person who saw it as the birth canal, the woman to be emerging from the womb. I also was touched by the photo and entry about your dad, who is probably about my age. It seemed so dear, so loving and the linearity and lines, as you mention, sound like his personality.
I tried to post earlier today and my server couldn’t speak with your server, but all is well tonight. I see you are in a dilemma. I’m sorry you aren’t pregnant,if that’s what you want, but I must admit that my heart kind of sank when you talked about the demands of this job that is pending. For every time there is a season, and if you decide this is the time for that kind of dedication, I know your life will morph into what it takes to meet those kinds of demands. I think you would make a great life coach, by the way, and you could blend in your art and other creative endeavors along with the coaching. And I am a big believer in part-time jobs, but I wasn’t ready to do that until I was 66! I wanted to stay on that merry-go-round I was on for a whole lot of reasons, some of them excuses not to jump into the abyss.
I’m thinking of you as you make some big decisions. Have a wonderful thanksgiving.

Those make the best drawings. When I think about drawing too much, I freeze up. Best is just let it happen.
