Also: this year, for the first time in probably 10 years, I do not expect to get the holiday cards in the mail. They might be late, or might not be sent at all. And you know what? Christmas will still happen.
Terrific! When GG was little we shifted a bit to New Year’s Cards. Chinese New Year Cards. Even better.
I have given up on sending paper mail for the most part, including cards. I also don’t care much about getting paper mail. Those who are interested in my life (and/or I in theirs) stay in communication (“commo”) via the various methods available, and make some special commo on special occasions. Some (not me yet) send eCards like those from Jacquie Lawson. The less paper flying around the better is my view.
I posted recently that I had given up all magazine subscriptions to reduce paper use (and the energy which goes along with it). The last victim, “Acoustic Guitar” was the hardest to let go.

Hope those teeth finish coming in soon! I got the cards out this year, but barely – and I don’t have a baby yet though I’ve one due in January. I already had the cards (I buy them the year before in the post-Christmas sales) or I might never have motivated myself to do it, and even so they were signature-signature-address-label-send cards, nothing personalized. But they were pretty cards and hopefully the recipients will enjoy them.
I haven’t done anything for an online card for all the people who are friends but whose addresses I don’t have, though. But I have until Christmas for that if I want a Christmsa delivery. 🙂
