The Real Reason

There are things you
do because they feel
right & they may
make no sense & they
may make no money
& it may be the real
reason we are here:
to love each other &
to eat each other’s
cooking & say it was
good.

I try hard to be kind, and supportive, and all that, but I will not compliment bad food. Period.
Ah, but what to say if the person who proudly served up the swill I didn’t want to eat directly asks for a response?
As always, the answer is easy: if pressed to the point, always tell the truth.
