An aptly phrased statement as to why I cannot accept any current “faith” (religion) that I’ve heard of. “Faith” to me is ipso facto a rejection of sense, reason and intellect. Faith in this sense is a matter of picking something you want to accept as true, based on no evidence of the senses, no critical thought, and deciding you “believe” it. I assume (without knowing) that making that choice provides comfort to those who genuinely make it (again assuming, without knowing, that some folks truly believe what they profess). Honestly, I wish I could participate, have some comfort like that, but in all my years wishing has not made it so.
