I’ve hardly been reading or commenting online, and I’ve been sporadic with email, because I still don’t have my computer. The loaner I’m using drops the wireless signal for unknown reasons and great lengths of time, so I’ve focused mostly on uploading art and posting this.
This painting arose from some of the work I’ve been doing in counseling. Obviously I’m in transition and feel as though I’m going through yet another incarnation. Who am I now? Who shall I be?
The library volunteer work and the work with Vision Literacy are slow. I was given the name of a learner but we couldn’t connect until yesterday, and we’ll meet on Friday. Vision Literacy had to cancel my appointment today due to another task, and so we might not get together until November 29. And the San Jose library project has been put on hold. The volunteer coordinator has been promoted and there is no replacement yet. I’m a little mystified at how hard it’s been to donate my labor. But I’ve got time, and I realize that just because I feel I need to be engaged doesn’t mean it will happen according to my whim or plan.
We saw the fertility specialist on Monday. Lots of information, big questions to answer. I like the doctor, though. And this, I have found, is important. When I have a trustworthy computer connection I’ll write more. I’ll also make the blog rounds and leave some feedback!

Funny how deprived we feel when unconnected, isn’t it? I’ve been viewing your daily art with pleasure. The Phoenix is especially cool.
sorry to hear about your computer troubles! but i’m loving this phoenix!!
i’m also very, very glad to hear that you have a good doctor on your side. that can make all the difference in the world in my experience.
I love this bird. I have a bird that’s just a sketch that I use to visualize when I have to drive over the Bay Bridge (MD) east to west. It is the only thing that helps me make it over…your bird will be added to my list of visuals. She is beautiful and hopefully full of joy!
phoenix rising; i agree. i thought it interesting about the visual literacy as this bird is quite visual. (wondering if the drive over the bay bridge in maryland is the same as driving over the bay bridge in the bay area calif; I avoid that like the plague)
