Since I worked Sunday, today is my day off. I’ve spent it reading poetry, reading about poetry, and being a little creative. I ought to go to the gym. But first — the bookmark that I made.

The pic’s a famous beauty in itself, as I’m sure you know. Years of debate among those who do such things: “Was it a posed job or just snapped?”
I don’t know and don’t care but I do like what you’ve done with it! What I don’t “get” is the wee banknote, not French, but a bit of you and your life.
Since I can hardly imagine you think kisses cost anything, that’s just a creative mystery.
Actually, the thing that looks like a banknote is a stamp — or rather the copy of a stamp (from a collection of such I bought from an art supply company). I think the letters on it are Greek. I work intuitively most of the time… I chose the stamp because of its color, and also because the couple kissing seem, to me, to be preparing to part. Perhaps one will be traveling? The stamp evokes faraway places. Anyhow, it’s interesting what we bring to and take away from images.
