Reading is the creative center of a writer’s life. I take a book with me everywhere I go, and find there are all sorts of opportunities to dip in. The trick is to teach yourself to read in small sips as well as in long swallows.
–Stephen King, On Writing: a Memoir of the Craft

I am terrible at this! I always tote a book when I know I’ll be waiting but it’s so hard for me to sink into it if part of me is waiting to be interrupted. I end up just setting it aside and people-watching or daydreaming. I wish I could learn to read in small sips…
I absolutely adore reading… I read everywhere! I read during my breaks and slow times at work (thank God for blogs and the sites that have classic literature online for FREE!), I read before bed, when I wake up, even *blushing* on the toilet. LOL
Some books I can sip, but the BEST books can’t be sipped, they must be GUZZLED! 🙂
