Self-portrait Tuesday: Reflective Image #2

This image is a metaphor for the type of person I see myself as: multi-faceted. You are seeing me reflected in my front door. Some facets offer images of the outside world, a metaphor for the person I present for general consumption. In another facet you can see “right through me” to the backyard door; a closer look reveals one of my paper snowflakes hanging on the window of the sliding glass door and a view of the fence that encloses my little garden — my sanctuary. Seeing into me isn’t an easy task. It requires persistence and a willingness to accept contradictions.

Interesting photo and interpretation. Even more interesting to me is the juxtaposition of 2 thoughts that need some further exploration: easy to see right through you but difficult to see into you.

    Hmmmmm….

Really first class photography that enters into the realm of art.

It is just my impression that you are gagged or something– a black shape covers your mouth.

Could this imply a sense of being stifled somehow, and implies the need to speak . . . as in your wonderful blog.

    These photos are so thought-provoking.

    Thanks
