I just went down to say goodnight (and listen to Husband tell me some good news about his job), and when Claire saw me (she’d just finished a good meal), she was all grins and joy. Her eyes lit up, and she cooed at me. I kissed her belly. All my frustrations from today, any resentment, any guilt, it all faded. She’s so cute. My little Eclaire…
And now, as I write this, I hear her wailing. *sigh* I wonder where she gets all that fire from?

She’s just trying to communicate when crying. Wait till she starts talking, she’ll never shut up!
Smiles and coos, ain’t they the best?
“I wonder where she gets all that fire from?”
Umm, is that a rhetorical question, mercurial one?
TP — Me? Mercurial?
Purely rhetorical. š
Love this description, Kathryn. Are you going to try some sign language when the time comes for her to better communicate? My 18 month old grandson intersperses sign with speech and I guess the brain processes signs earlier.
My friend asked me the same this this afternoon, Fran! I’ll look into it. I had not planned to try, but she so clearly wants to communicate that it might be an excellent tactic.
