Thanks, L. You know, growing up in snow country (Syracuse, NY), I couldn’t imagine that warmer climes could feel festive without snow. Ten years in Texas taught me otherwise, and the same is true out here. Even more so, because the foliage is so much more varied than in Texas. Autumn is full of orange and yellow and red, just like where I grew up.
I use a very basic digital camera. I didn’t want a lot of bells and whistles. It’s a Nikon Coolpix 2100 (2 megapixel). I think a good photo is part camera, part user (having the eye), and part iPhoto enhancement (cropping, reducing glare). I amaze myself sometimes with what I can capture.
That wonderful California light!!!
That red leaf is so . . . red.
Is California Christmas like Florida Christmas?
Thank you for this.
It makes me understand how one might be able to celebrate and love Christmas without snow.
You’ve shown me a red and green that are redder and greener than any I could imagine.
These photos are vivid.
May I ask what kind of camera you use?
