“Rabbit Dreams” / 7 x 10″ journal paper with watercolor and pigment ink
I had splashed watercolor on this page when I got the journal, so when I opened to it, I had a little challenge as to what to do with it. This drawing resulted.

Kathryn,
I love this…it made me cry! It made me think of babies!
You really should do journal quilting…you are so visual and have such a way with words!
Thanks for being such an inspiration with your creativity…I love your site and frequent it, but lurk, lurk, lurk, 🙂
Thank you both. I also got an email from someone commenting on how they were struck by this. What’s interesting for me to note is that I consider this my least accomplished work so far. I had trouble coming up with something to draw over the color and thought it was very unpolished and unrealistic as I drew, but decided to let it be what it is.
As for journal quilting, I’ll go learn more. Though I must say that I’ve got lots of art supplies that are still waiting to have their turn. My eyes and eagerness outsize my commitment and ability to do all that interests me.
It is not all that unusual for a creative person to favor one or more works, while the audience prefers something else entirely. I’ve noticed that playing songs.
