From today’s adventure… There are 25 enlarged versions of Rodin’s The Thinker. Fewer than five were cast and patinated during his lifetime. This is a posthumous cast authorized by Musée Rodin, 1972.

First time I went to a big museum, I didn’t know what the collection included and I was stunned to find “Nude Descending a Staircase” (I believe there are a couple of versions). I gasped and made a very big deal. Hawk doesn’t particularly like modern art but he was amused by how this weird painting got me so excited.
We didn’t even get the Rodin Museum (this was all in Philly btw).
I love Rodin’s work. He captured the human form so beautifully and so artfully. Seeing them in person is a wonderful experience, isn’t it?
