You did that it 3 hours? Dayum, I can’t even draw pictures in that time.
(and of course, it’s mighty purty — goes without saying, but I guess I’ve just gone and said it anyway, as have others.)

I love it also. And the way you set up the photo.
However, it would not keep the wearer very WARM, as the weave is so large the wind would come right through.
Back to the drawing board! 🙂

Tallasiandude: the larger the needle, the faster it goes. 🙂
Pat: It’s a fashion scarf, not intended for warmth but for appearance and fun. But you’d be surprised how warm mohair is, and how the large weave helps create little pockets of body heat.
This is really a gorgeous scarf that I’d buy in a heartbeat. Seeing it reminds me I have one similarly colored and maybe I’ll wear it tomorrow. It has cooled off considerably, rained today, and imagine your own weather is the same.
WOW! Beautious!! What a great idea…I love the lacy-ness, but hate the picky-ness of knitting lacy…use big needles….hmmmm gonna have to try it. I love the color too! jackie

Beautiful. I just started knitting again…after many years. It seems many have taken up the hobby again. I have made 7 of 11 scarves for Christmas gifts this year. I wish that you could give us the directions for this beautiful scarf. So many beautiful yarns now. I want to use them all!! I am an artist… I paint in oils and acrylics. I have been painting pictures of people’s homes from photos (not my favorite) would rather do something original. Read you everyday and enjoy.

Pat, it’s very simple. The ball is 100 meters of 100% kid mohair. If I made it again I would cast on fewer stitches to make it a little bit longer. The directions were:
With size 35 needles, cast on 18 stitches
With size 50 needles, cast on 14 stitches
Knit in garter stitch until all the yarn is gone or until it is long enough for you. Voila! You have a scarf.
good god woman, that is stunning! love the color, the design, everything about it. xoxoxo
Beautiful. It looks as though it will be very cosy too.
