A Brief Bio


Kathryn Harper is a woman of many interests and skills. She holds a master of arts degree in counseling and human services and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a seeker, a self-taught artist, and an intuitive creativity facilitator. Kathryn integrates experiences from her education, work, and life when mentoring clients. She has been employed as a librarian, psychotherapist, and community advocate. Her current path is art, at which she works daily. She welcomes you to view her gallery.

Believing passionately that all humans are innately creative, Kathryn dedicates her life to igniting curiosity, promoting creativity, and inspiring enthusiasm for lifetime learning. Kathryn teaches art at her daughter’s elementary school. She also volunteers for Lyceum of Santa Clara Valley, which provides enrichment and social connection to gifted children and their families, and helps foster a caring community in which they can grow. She lives in San Jose, California, with her husband and daughter, as well as Ulysses (betta fish), Smokey (cat), and Misty Sky (our runny babbit).
