One touch of my<br \/>\nfinger sends it skating slinky style<br \/>\ninto a nest under the antique roses.<\/p>\n<p>In my garden dwells peace.<br \/>\nRoses pursue self-actualization,<br \/>\nnodding budded heads in agreement<br \/>\nwith the wind. They bloom<br \/>\nhot and pale pink, luminous with<br \/>\nred veins, each one uniquely imperfect.<br \/>\nA spider nestles in one exuberant bloom,<br \/>\nbetrayed by two spindly legs.<\/p>\n<p>In my garden flows energy.<br \/>\nBees murmur about their tasks as<br \/>\nthey hover and dash, hover and dash.<br \/>\nRed ants, audacious in adventure,<br \/>\nclimb the stone wall foothills to the<br \/>\nmountain of my body, seeking the summit.<br \/>\nThey rest on the flat plain of my<br \/>\nnotebook and I, godlike, teach them<br \/>\nto fly with the flick of two fingers.<br \/>\nUndaunted, they begin again.<\/p>\n<p>Sheer instinct, the drive to live,<br \/>\nto move, vibrates quietly in my garden.<br \/>\nIn my garden I thrive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In My Garden In my garden moves life.
