Here&#8217;s a stream-of-consciousness example of what&#8217;s on my mind these days (in no particular order):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The history of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=%22black%20panther%22%20movement&#038;sourceid=mozilla2&#038;ie=utf-8&#038;oe=utf-8\">Black Panther<\/a> movement and the 60s culture (I went to an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ybca.org\/b_ybca.html\">exhibition at the Yerba Buena<\/a> galleries today).<\/li>\n<li>Community and social capital, i.e., how technology reduces this in-person but presents new opportunities for community via the Internet.<\/li>\n<li>Musing whether these changes in community signify the doom of humanity and wondering if I&#8217;m a cynical idealist or just a realist or if there&#8217;s a difference.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/netsquared.org\/\">Netsquared<\/a> and their mission to support non-profits in adopting new web technologies to further <em>their<\/em> missions.<\/li>\n<li>Life and it&#8217;s meaning; death and what comes after (if anything).<\/li>\n<li>What <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kathrynpetroharper.com\/mindfullife\/2006\/03\/24\/what-is-truth\/\">truth is<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The first anniversary of my father-in-law&#8217;s death on April 2.<\/li>\n<li>How I&#8217;m ready for rain to stop and warm spring to arrive.<\/li>\n<li>Exercises that grab me by the lapels from a book I recently bought called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/006273024X\/qid=1143859132\/sr=1-1\/ref=sr_1_1\/102-1142358-9403301?s=books&#038;v=glance&#038;n=283155\">The Practice of Poetry<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Cursing the fact that dust bunnies reproduce and wondering if there&#8217;s a simpler form of birth control than housecleaning.<\/li>\n<li>Thinking about some essays my father wrote and sent me about his life experiences, and how I&#8217;m learning tidbits I&#8217;d yearned to know for years.<\/li>\n<li>Percolating an idea for a project I&#8217;m to make to give to my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artellawordsandart.com\/\">Artella Spring Sprite<\/a> recipient.<\/li>\n<li>Saturday&#8217;s HOBA TeamWorks project at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raft.net\/\">RAFT<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>How pleased I am that my cholesterol levels are really low and that my doctor wrote a personal note, &#8220;Good!!&#8221; on the results that were mailed to me.<\/li>\n<li>Wishing I&#8217;d read the book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0743287215\/qid=1143859613\/sr=53-1\/ref=tr_239771\/102-1142358-9403301?n=283155\">Jarhead<\/a> before watching the movie <a href=\"http:\/\/imdb.com\/title\/tt0418763\/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnx0dD0xfGZiPXV8cG49MHxrdz0xfHE9amFyaGVhZHxmdD0xfG14PTIwfGxtPTUwMHxjbz0xfGh0bWw9MXxubT0x;fc=1;ft=20;fm=1\">Jarhead<\/a>, which I&#8217;ve rented and will watch this weekend.<\/li>\n<li>Creativity and personality and what type of mini-workshop I want to design regarding this.<\/li>\n<li>What I want for dinner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What&#8217;s on your mind?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My brain churns with thoughts, but time and energy are limited.
