Heaven on Earth

Green fern seas froth
around redwood ships.
Mammoth masts mask
the sun. The journey
through a cathedral of
peace only occasionally
adorned by bird trills
or underbrush rustling.

    Beautiful always … and the forest fragrance, too. So many quiet hours we enjoyed years ago when it was not so full. Do you remember some?
