Price of plain unleaded gas when I filled up the tank yesterday:
$4.19 per gallon
Diesel is over $5.00 a gallon. Thank goodness we don’t use that!

Smoke
This may be why my throat it sore, why I’m sneezing and coughing. The source of the smoke (and aggravated by yesterday’s high winds): a huge wildfire in the Santa Cruz Mountains. More than 3,000 acres burned yesterday, and as of this moment the first is only 15% contained.
