My parents sent Husband a gift. Rather than wrestle with wrapping paper, I painted the box. It was fun, like child’s play. I like the result. After he opens the present, I’ll keep the box and store Christmas items in it.

Sweet! I may do that for a couple of my gifts….
For smaller gifts, I make gift bags out of brocade fabric. I also made dice bags out of the fabric for my kids who are gamers, and all their friends wanted them so I made them some, too. Last year I stuffed a bunch of them in decorative brocade pillowcases that my niece loved and snapped them all up. I’ve also got a set of bear fabric cosmetic bags for my sister-in-law’s gifts to go in this year. Last year I wrapped her gifts in bear pillowcases. I also got some lovely Chinese print boxes for gifts to go in that can be re-used, and I re-use most of the gift bags I get.
