Back in the day before we had kids, we owned a 9" color TV that we rarely watched. Amazing how soon we got a large TV after the eldest, now 20, was born, and a VCR.

I watch next to nothin' these days, though. My entertainment is almost exclusively online.

Thanks, Nacho. :)

Bill, we record shows we like so we can watch at our convenience. I don't watch very many, and when I do I'm usually knitting at the same time. Husband watches more TV than I do -- he uses it as a sort of background sound while he writes compter code. Before I met him, I owned a 13 inch TV and rarely turned it on. But I do find there are some interesting shows worth watching either for education or entertainment.

As for DVDs, we usually rent a movie a few times a month. The idea of paying $10 per person to go to the theater doesn't appeal, but there are a few movies that are worth seeing. My husband is more the film buff... it's one of his hobbies. In addition, I have a couple of yoga DVDs that I like to use.

Oh, husbands don't need a reason Kathryn! : ) We are just right about such things, and it is best to let us do as we must. It is part of male genetics. At least that's what I tell my wife... : )

Have fun and enjoy!

When do you find the time to watch TV?
And, what redeeming social value do you encounter on today's available DVD's?
